"Excercising the Mind"
Description : One day, Amal injured her index finger and was unable to count on her fingers without saying “wawah” instead of the number 9. The arithmetic teacher differentiated between sports and mathematics and was teaching them the basics of arithmetic operations. The teacher explained to his students how math affects a person, as it teaches him honesty. He told them the story of the crow and that a person must learn to count and differentiate. In the classroom, in response to a little girl’s complaint that math was a cold subject, the mathematics teacher told the story of the number ten by the Italian writer Gianni Rodari, which the little girl admired. Children learned how to solve multiplication problems on their hands. The students understood that geometry illuminates the human mind, uprightness in thought, and purifies it from harm.
