A New Father
Description : The story is about a girl called Omnia, which means 'a wish' in Arabic. This eight year old girl was adjusting to her mother's marriage after her father's death. Although her father died since she was a baby, Omnia found it difficult at first to adjust. So, she went through a phase of rebellion and crying which was followed by acceptance. Finally, she started to love having her new father around since he was always helpful to her and to her mother. Also, her mother's love to her was not affected at all. Omnia explains that she did not know what to call him, so at first, she avoided calling him, then for a while she used "uncle". After Omnia's wish came true and she had a baby brother, Omnia learned to call him "Dad" while she was teaching it to her brother.
